"Power Corrupts and Absolute Power Corrupts Absolutely."

I am going to be brief and to the point. You might think me crazy but nevertheless this is true. The above quote used to title this paper is indeed true of power when wielded by men, who by our very nature are prone to corruption by virtue of original sin. It matters not whether you are religious or not. As you will see in the matter that this paper addresses both sides of the divide claim to be of God!

The perpetrator behind the recent attacks on the World Trade Centre and the Pentagon is not Osama bin Laden, infamous as he may be. It was elements in the governments of Israel, America and Britain. Allow this to sink in for a moment. Bin Laden is merely a decoy whose infamy conveniently shields the real perpetrators – the very ones themselves pointing to bin Laden.

There is a reason why. Sharon, Bush, Blair and their cronies through the speeches they gave were calling for a world alliance against terrorism. The focus is not terrorists or terrorism per se, rather the formulation of this world alliance. A world government. There exists an increasingly pressing need among these world leaders to move this long-standing agenda along if it is to be realized at all. In achieving this purpose they desperately needed a dramatic event (a kind of bogeyman, if you will) of such magnitude that it would galvanize world sentiment. What happened in New York and Washington on Tuesday Sept 11th was a cleverly crafted scheme to bring this about. In a way it was much like the nuclear bombs dropped on Hiroshima and Nagasaki in WWII. Or, the more recent event of the Gulf War. The Hiroshima and Nagasaki incident significantly empowered sentiment enabling what was once the League of Nations into becoming more visible as the United Nations. The Gulf War fostered a significant military alliance which has since continued, though in a lesser degree, as a world military which we have seen deployed in regional conflicts around the globe.

Biblically speaking, this push for a world government has long been on the table. It is spoken of for example in Psalm 2, "…the kings of the earth set themselves, and the rulers take counsel together…" This was a prophecy written long ago concerning the time we are now living in. It was hidden in the Psalms and elsewhere in the scriptures intended to come to light in due time as the affairs of men unfolded. Notice it states, "…the kings of the earth…and the rulers take counsel together." We are dealing here with the leaders of the world. In verse one it states they "…imagine a vain thing." This connects with the "image of the beast" spoken of in Rev 13:14-18 — read this carefully. It concerns a world socio-political and economic government formed at the end of the world. Psalm 2, goes on to point out that this endeavour is "…against the Lord, and against his anointed." In short, against God, and against his will and his kingdom here in the earth as it is in heaven. The perpetrators of this mischief seek to construct another Tower of Babel so to speak, in defiance of God.

Returning to the events of Tuesday Sept 11th, in New York and Washington. While not going into the details, ironically, the evidence of the above agenda is clearly visible for the discerning to see. But it requires a little imagination and the courage to see the big picture – Nothing is so well hid than when it is hidden in plain sight.

The question is, will they pull it off? As you can see, it involves a massive deception. A desperate act by desperate men. But they will be discovered. The American people will be pissed when they find out. And they will. This leads to a massive war. Spoken of in the scriptures as, "…the time of trouble, such as never was since there was a nation, even to that the same time…"

There is much more to this, both biblically speaking and otherwise. Watch as these events unfold. This is incredible in its scope! Beyond the "normal" imagination. It is no wonder why it ends in God revealing himself for all to see. Also why its perpetrators thought to get away with it. In Psalm 94:20-23, in speaking of this intended "throne of iniquity" that these people are trying to set up in order to secure themselves in their wickedness it states, "…(God) shall bring upon them their own iniquity, and shall cut them off in their own wickedness; yea, the Lord our God shall cut them off."

Permit me to conclude with the following statement. It is not as morbid as it may first appear. Though stripped of the soothing words normally associated with comforting assurance there lies an even deeper assurance that one can truly trust.

Death exists! So then death cannot be the end of existence. Rather, it is merely another aspect of existence. Life is greater than death and must precede death in order for death to be. Life is lived for life’s sake and is what gives it its eternity. Significantly, this reveals death to be a result of our state of mind. Our perceiving the greatness of life beyond death sets us above death, robbing death of its hold on us. Once we are established as life itself we can never die. Though for a moment the body may perish we look forward with unshakable confidence to the resurrection.
